Installation at Drawing Rooms

In 2015 Overbay participated in a show at Drawing Rooms in Jersey City where she installed wrap-around drawings titled “Cells” in one of the exhibition rooms. Curated by Anne Trauben and called “The Divine and the Sublime” the show featured eight artists in nine gallery rooms showing drawing, painting, sculpture and installation.

Fittingly housed in a former convent, now the Drawing Rooms building, “The Divine and Sublime” explored the contemplative, consciousness, and nature as a spiritual experience, and the sacred object: employing color, repetition, myth and symbol to evoke meaning. Artists included Buhm Hong, Carole Kunstadt, Cicely Cottingham, Michael Ensminger, Pat Lay, Paula Overbay, Robyn Ellenbogen, and Jill Scipione.
